What is Naturescaping? The process starts with a homeowner who wants a beautiful landscape that has a natural feel and attracts wildlife. Our task is to create an oasis for wildlife and the homeowner to share and enjoy. We use native plants whenever we can, or hybrid varieties that have improved drought, disease or pest resistant qualities. We use varieties of fruiting trees and shrubs with edible fruit so that you and the wildlife both literally enjoy the fruits of your mini-ecosystem. We also include water as an important element in our designs. Don’t panic, this doesn’t mean you have to have a water feature. Just a bit of water to provide a place for birds and other wildlife to drink will do. The most important component is a commitment from the homeowner to be as natural as they can in maintaining their Naturescape. This means ditching the chemicals and synthetic fertilizers and using an organic approach to lawn and garden care. This is not difficult, and it means less money and effort invested down the road. After completion of the project, we provide the homeowner with an organic maintenance schedule to ensure their success in maintaining the health and beauty of their yard. So whether you are landscaping your home for the first time or simply revamping an existing landscape call us for a consultation with no obligation to determine if Naturescaping is right for you. |
